Is that where you live now or were you just hanging out?

Mistress of the D: By "dicey area", do you mean that area of PA that Rep. John Murtha said would be difficult for Obama to win over? If so, I'll bet it was dicey as hell after Obama was announced as the winner.

The Rock Chick: Although there is still a ways to go, Obama's victory showed that things may be headed in the right direction.

Jessica: Because I'm at work when it's on and don't bother recording it, I only catch Ellen's show if I happen to take time off during the week. You might know that I love her dance segment.

Over the past few days, I've read some of the right-wing blogs to get their take on the election. Although there were plenty of sour grapes to go around, some of the bloggers did say that although they weren't happy with the outcome, they were still going to support Obama, pray for him, etc.

Pjazzy: Yes, you were a less skeptical than me because I was still expecting some last minute bombshell by the Republicans. I actually visited canube's blog the following morning and could have sworn that I saw a tumbleweed blow across the screen.

Thriving: I think that the moment that Obama was announced the winner will go down as one of those "where were you when..." moments in history. I liked that Malia/Jonas Brothers story... I wish I had seen that part. I don't know if you saw it, but there is a clip where Barack and Michelle and some others are talking about a bet that Barack has with Malia about the Jonas Brothers. Here is the link:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBTv8MHqgck

Good call on the Malia and Sasha not yet fully realizing the impact of what happened the other night. They might answer "yes" if someone asked them, but it'll probably be a few years before they are able to put it in perspective. Did you know that when Malia and Sasha move into the White House, they will be the youngest residents since 9 yr old Amy Carter in 1977.

Clnmike: Thanks!

Ms. Marvulus: Thank you very much! I can understand why you stayed away from the anti-Obama blogs. As for me, I couldn't help visiting them... they gave me a good laugh.

Barbara: Oh yeah, there were a lot of tears shed (both of joy and sadness) the other night. I'm glad that you were in the former category.

Bryan: Yes indeed. This is something that I never thought I would live to see.

Candy: I love that enthusiasm! I was wondering how the news of the Obama victory was being covered in Canada.Malcolmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02065814455731328574noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2498798416841063155.post-28956368650916093542008-11-07T01:34:00.000-05:002008-11-07T01:34:00.000-05:00Yipppe ky yah!!!! They are just so down to earth and naturally funny.

I like when Michelle shares candid stories about the two girls. My favorite was when she said that Maleia thought that the 'big surprise' of the night (which was actually that her father was going to be at the event on stage) was that the Jonas Brothers were going to be there. (You can see her mouthing "the Jonas Brothers??") What a normal preteen thing to be thinking.

She and Sasha are a little too young to realize what a huge deal it is that their father is the first African American President of the United Sates...but isn't it also kind of cool that their generation will be growing up in a country that has finally begun to truly judge others "not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2498798416841063155.post-21680196600170936412008-11-05T12:44:00.000-05:002008-11-05T12:44:00.000-05:00Hey Malcolm, It's turned I just as I figured.
