Please Take A Moment To Vote In the Current "What Movie Should Malcolm Watch Next?" Poll... Thank You

As do most of you, I watch my fair share of movies. However, for various reasons, some of the big movies have slipped through the cracks for me. This is where you come in for the current poll. I've selected five movies that I'm interested in seeing, but haven't yet. Whichever movie receives the most votes is the one that I will watch next. Once I watch it, I will post a review. Feel free to post in the comments section why you feel that I should watch the movie that you chose.

Before you say "I can't believe you haven't seen (fill in the blank)", stop and consider that unless you're a movie critic, there probably are holes in your film watching experience too. :-)

  1. I pitched in with MIB. Great movie.

  2. I haven't seen Passion of The Christ or Dark Knight. I picked The Lion King. I bought it for the kids, but I'll tell you, I've watched it many times again for me. It is a really good movie. If I could vote for two, I'd also add in MIB ;)

  3. MIB was fantastic, and you should watch that after seeing The Dark Knight, equally fantastic!

  5. What you haven't seen is kinda interesting. Typically, I'm not big on cartoons, but I enjoyed the Lion King. The theatre version is truly a breathtaking experience, particularly if you can get seats down front (-:

  6. Definitely the Dark Night, I like to see if you think Heaths's performance was really Oscar worthy.

  7. There's enough violence in the world without paying for it for entertainment. I opted for MIB, but Lion King would do. MIB slaughters lots of people and aliens in a funny way and the other is based on Hamlet --- Nevermind Violence everywhere. :-)

  8. Of you list, I have only seen The Lion King, so I felt I had no business casting a vote. But Lion King is a good movie with great music.
    Hakuna Matada!

  10. I will have to say Passion of the Christ. It's the only one I haven't seen although I have the movie. I just saw The Lion King with my 4 year twice this week, so that's my second choice.

  11. You have to watch Lion King. Hakuna Matata.....I used to play the soundtrack for my 3rd graders to put them in a good mood.

  12. Also, while I though Heath Ledger was excellent as The Joker in Dark Knight, I thought the movie was overrated. Too long....bored me near the end.

  13. Man you better break yourself and watch "Dirty Dancing". You'll have the "Time of Your Life" (pun intended).

  14. Looks like you'll be watching The Dark Knight.

  15. I voted for "The Dark Knight".

I think it's a very good movie, with a lot of layered events occurring. It is partly shot in chicago and Ledger is very good. I'm also going to assume you have seen "Batman Begins".

I partly chose TDK because I figure you should watch ALL of those movies...and soon. But why not work backwards. TDK is relatively recent and it's review here on your blog will probably offer a discussion since it might be fresh in peoples minds.

Then I hope you will make an effort to see all the other films in this list. Maybe do a marathon on a Sunday with two of them, some yummy snacks and write reviews then too. I think all of these movies are goo well-rounded entertaining and fun movies.

And THEN...see "Dirty Dancing"!!!!! I want full reports!

    :)

  17. The Lion King is one of the best movies... I've watched it so many times over the years I even saw it in the theater when it came out. It's fun, and hilarious and in typical Disney fashion you can sing along and you root for Simba and his pals.

I did love The Dark Knight though, but I'm a Batman freak... skip Spiderman he's lame.
