Earlier today one of my childhood idols, David Carradine, was found dead in Bangkok at the age of 72. Although Carradine played numerous roles in his 45-plus year career, I will always remember him as Kwai Chang Caine on the original 1970s series Kung Fu. Nobody could deliver a slow motion ass whupping like Caine!
Below is a clip of Carradine's 2007 appearance on The John Kerwin Show. In the interview, Carradine talks about the origins of the series Kung Fu. You also get to see if he can snatch a pebble from the hand of John Kerwin. R.I.P. "Grasshopper".

Damn! He was really beginning to look like his dad. I use to watch Kung Fu too! I guess Keith is the most famous of all the Carradine brothers, but David had a quiet cool.
Yup, he could deliver a great Kung Fu ass-whoopin' and he was one of the reasons I took martial arts!
I too remember him most as Kwai Chang Caine (Grasshopper) but I did enjoy him in Kill Bill too!
Where's your OSF or don't you do that anymore?
Another one gone, I feel old.
Pjazzy: David did look the most like papa John than any of the other Carradine kids. I didn't realize until now that Keith Carradine still has a fairly high profile. He's just appearing in things that are missing my radar.
Pop Art Diva: Wow, I didn't know you were into martial arts.. how cool! I still do OSF occasionally (the last time was a few weeks ago). I've missed the last ones because either I couldn't come up with anything worthwhile or I've been too busy.
Clnmike: It seems to me like celeb deaths happen these days at a much faster rate than they did in the past.
