Hey dear blog friend! Sorry to be awol...again! But life gets in the way of visiting sometimes. har!
hey I voted for China Beach. I was a massive fan and I think I've forgot enought o go through the series again.
I had to pick You Can't Do That On Television, because that was such a huge part of my growing up. I adored that show..with the water and green slime!!
Ally McBeal!!!
I loved that show. I love Wonder Years :)
Becky Slater!
I picked China Beach simply because I'd like to hear the REAL theme song written for it by John Rubinstein (who played the husband of Meredith Baxter Birney on Family -he's the son of Arthur Rubenstien).
When you search for the tv theme for China Beach you keep getting the Supremes song Reflections. Maybe Rubinstein's music was the end theme but I loved that music and can't find it anywhere.
Candy: I hear you about being AWOL... my debates with the anti-Obama crowd have kept me from blogging the way I had been. I have to put that to rest.
I'm with you on China Beach. Although the show itself was a big draw for me, looking at Dana Delany didn't hurt either.
Mistress of the D: Thinking of YCDTOTV takes me back to when we first got cable. On a sad note, did you know that Les Lye (the main adult actor on the show) died this summer?

Penny: It didn't occur to me that Ally McBeal wasn't available on DVD in the U.S. In case you hadn't heard, here's some good news for you:

Pop Art Diva: John's song must have been the closing theme because "Reflections" was the theme for the opening credits. Because it's been awhile since I've seen "China Beach", the closing theme isn't ringing any bells.
The link below takes you to the Amazon page where there are used/new copies of the China Beach soundtrack available:

Thanks M!
That is awesome!
Don't you do OSF anymore?
Penny: You are welcome.
Pop Art Diva: Yes, I still do OSF. The reason I haven't been participating as of late is because:
1. I don't have the time that week
or
2. Nothing jumps out for the theme of the week.
I like this week's theme (It’s All About The Money, Baby!); hopefully, I have time to take part.
