Well, I don't eat too many pizza chains and I don't know ta lot of the ones you've listed.
We go to a local pub on tuesdays for $1 PBRs (what a deal!) and we get Papa Romeo's Pizza and it's on sale too...we have coupons...and it tastes pretty good. Especially after a beer!
Candy told me about this great poll!! Growing up in Chicago DEEP DISH is da real ting-I like thin crust also-just because pizza is one of my fav' foods. Giodano's of Chicago is a great chain because they have a strong consistent product all the while dealing with mass quantity!! Gullivers is the best pizza I have ever had!! Sarpino's of Chicago has launched a huge ad blitz trying to win over and steal $ in the pizza wars!! Brick oven pizza is a whole other multiverse to me!! I like it very much but it is very different!
On a whole 'nother note your radio show iz great-keep up the good work playing hits n' obscure tunes that boggle the ear n' mind!!
I prefer one of two local places for pizza but, as far as chains go, Pizza Hut has got it going on. Just tried the "New" Domino's...Not Impressed. I stopped ordering them for a reason and thought I'd give them another try (thanks to a great marketing campaign). They will not be getting anymore of my money.
A place like Roma's makes the best pizza. Chain pies just are not the greatest. I chose other because if I have to choose a chain I would choose Papa Johns.
Penny: I'm pretty sure I've had brick oven pizza before, but I couldn't tell you when or where. You can probably tell that I am not the pizza connoisseur. :-)
Mistress of the D: I'm surprised that there aren't any pizza chains in your area. It's probably for the best because many local pizza places have their own special charm that the chains can't duplicate.
Candy: Pizza and beer, damn! Even at 8:40 am, that sounds good!
Stagg: The next time I go to Chicago, I am going to check out the places you listed. Thanks for the tips!
Also, thanks for the kind words about my radio show. I consider myself lucky that I'm able to do such an eclectic show.
Jason: I can't remember the last time I've had pizza at The White Horse. I don't know if you've ever had it, but Mo Doggies makes a chicken parmesan pizza that is amazing!
Kristi: I've never been a fan of Domino's. It doesn't sound like I have any reason to try them again.
Pjazzy: You didn't have to choose "other" because Papa John's was one of the options. :-)

I really prefer brick oven pizzas to anything but if we are going for commercialized product..def. pizza hut :)
I vote The Hut, mostly because we don't have many national chains nearby. I vote Local!

Chain pizza I prefer Happy's Pizza. Local I prefer White Horse. Its not the worlds best but its good and they will put anything you want on it.
