Answers to Friday Funday Trivia: 80s TV





Making it to the podium is rarely easy. However, it was even more difficult this week because there were some very strong scores that just missed the cut. Here are the names of the Illustrious Three for the week:

1st place-  Rich: 52 pts... a perfect score, plus those 2 bonus pts for being the early bird... wicked job!!
2nd place- David B.: 50 pts... righteous!

11. 3 pts- Out of This World. This fantasy sitcom ran in first-run syndication from 1987-1991. It starred Maureen Flannigan as a teen who discovers she's half-alien and as a result, is gifted with supernatural powers. What actor provided the voice for this character's father? 4 bonus pts- Burt Reynolds
12. 4 pts- Riptide. This detective series ran on NBC from 1984-1986 and starred Perry King, Joe Penny, and Thom Bray.

14. 2 pts- Punky Brewster
15. 6 pts- Filthy Rich. This sitcom spoof of nighttime soaps ran on CBS from 1982-1983 and starred Dixie Carter and Delta Burke, who reunited a few years later for the hit series Designing Women

I am impressed at the number of you who got #15 correct! I felt like a pitcher who thinks he throwing heat, only to be "taken yard" by the batter at the plate.
