The election is over and MAGA is still angry. I guess owning the libs was

I really love all of those movies. I think it's going to come down between Precious, Hurt Locker and Avatar. Did you know the directors of Avatar and Hurt Locker used to be married? I believe they are still friends.
(I voted Avatar though)
I think it's going to be Avatar. More's the pity because it's a dreadful movie.
It definitely deserves one: best special effects. I wouldn't mind if it one one for cinematography too.
But if it wins for anything else, I'll get kind of upset because it was so excruciatingly bad in every respect other than visuals.
I wish I could comment because two of those movies are on my must-go-see list--Precious and Avatar. I heard Precious was amazing too. If it's as good as the book then it should win!
I have always loved watching the Academy Awards.
I have heard great things about Avatar's special effects so I think it will win the most awards. I definitely want to see this movie.
I think it's Avatar for production and set design and special effects hands down.
Candy: No, I didn't know that James Cameron and Kathryn Bigelow were married. She seems to be a rarity among women directors in that most of her movies are in the sci-fi/action/horror genres.
Richard: Wow, you are the first person I've heard slam "Avatar". I haven't seen it so I wonder if some are dazzled by the special effects and therefore are overlooking any negatives it might have.
Dina Rod: Did you vote? If not, don't let the fact that you haven't seen any/some of the movies stop you.
Teresa: Thanks for stopping by. The Oscars is one of the few awards shows that I watch every year.
Buy Soma Online: I also think that Avatar will dominate the technical awards categories.
I think Precious will win even though I wish it could be Avatar with a few scrapollas to Inglorious Basterdz!!
STAGG
p.s. I wish I had seen the Elvis edition of the quiz! I had just got back from Memphis...and this month has been a madhouse around here.
I'll join Richard in slamming Avatar. It was pretty, sure. Really pretty. That's it. The script was just painful and really the actors did a fine job with what they were given, but it wasn't much to work with. I wouldn't be adverse to it taking every tech award, but director and film I would be very sad. Cameron doesn't need any more ego boosts.
I haven't seen all of them (shame on me) but I really want the Hurt Locker to win. It was great, it's a female director making a real movie that isn't some schlocky Nora Ephron shit, and I've had my eye on that Jeremy Renner kid for years. I hope this gets him more work, because he's good.
Hoping to see some Inglorious Basterds in the mix. Everyone is freaking out about Up in The Air. I just caught that at cinema two weekends ago and it wasn't that good.
I love Clooney but it was just okay.
