Final Results of the Recent Beatles Album Poll

With almost twice as many votes as the 2nd place finisher, The Beatles' 1966 release Revolver was selected as the Beatle album most would choose if they were introducing the uninitiated to the sounds of John, Paul, George, and Ringo.  If I had it, I would have introduced my niece to The Beatles by loaning her 1962-1966. My reasons are the same that Ivan stated in the comments section of the poll post: because it covers the "Fab Four" era and the start of the psychedelic years.

Instead, I loaned her their greatest hits compilation 1.  Because it focuses strictly on their #1 hits, it doesn't cover the full range of what The Beatles accomplished in the studio.  However, it does span their time as a recording unit and makes for a good introduction to their work.  Depending on if she likes "1", I will next loan my niece Another Beatles Story.  It's a 3-disc Japanese import that covers the years 1962-1967.

Here are the final results:

Revolver: 26%
Rubber Soul- 14%
The Beatles (aka The White Album), 1962-1966, 1967-1970, and Sgt. Pepper- 11% each
Abbey Road- 8%
1- 2%

Thanks to everyone who voted and a special thanks to those who shared their thoughts in the comments section.

Below is a track from the winning album, enjoy!
