To say that Mel Gibson has been dogged by controversy over the last several years would be akin to calling The Passion of the Christ a minor box office hit. In July 2010, Gibson has been hit with allegations of domestic abuse, racism, sexism, and outright lunacy (which give a whole new meaning to "Mad Max"). I won't go into all the details because you've more than likely heard the the voicemail recordings by his former girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.

Because of the allegations against Gibson, many have speculated whether or not his career has been irreparably damaged. While some have said they will never pay to see another Mel Gibson movie, others have stated they can separate his personal life from his professional one. In addition to "Yes" and "No", I've also included an "It depends" option in the poll. As always, I look forward to hearing your thoughts in the comments section.

With an outcome that some would say was predictable, "Thriller" received the most votes in the poll in which I asked people to select their favorite Michael Jackson music video.

It's Teen Time Thursday Nights This Month On TCM!

Thursday nights in July starting at 8 pm, Turner Classic Movies pays tribute to the Clearasil set by featuring marathons of teen flicks grouped by theme. TCM kicked off the teen fest with a night of movies about juvenile delinquents with such films as Rebel Without A Cause and Blackboard Jungle. Below are some of the highlights for the rest of the month:

7/8- At the Beach

8 pm- Gidget (1959): The first film in the series, starring Sandra Dee in the title role

12 am- Bikini Beach (1964): An eclectic mix of performers, including Boris Karloff and "Little" Stevie Wonder, join Frankie and Annette for fun in the sand. In addition to playing Frankie, look for Mr. Avalon in the role of "Potato Bug" (a mop topped rocker vying for the affections of Annette)

4 am- Girl Happy (1965): Worth watching if only for a brief scene of Elvis in drag!

7/15- 80s Night

8 pm- Better Off Dead (1985): I still have nightmares of a paperboy chasing me on his bike demanding his two dollars.

2 am- Risky Business (1983): Before he bounced up and down on couches, Tom Cruise paraded around in his briefs lip-synching to Bob Seger.

4 am- Fame (1980): Hot Lunch Jam anyone?

7/22- Teens In Love

8 pm- The Courtship of Andy Hardy (1942): The 12th entry in the long-running series starring Mickey Rooney, this comedy also features a young Donna Reed as a shy student.

11:45 pm- Gregory's Girl (1981): A schoolboy falls for a girl who earns a spot on his school's soccer team in this Scottish import.

5:00 am- Palm Springs Weekend (1963): A flock of up and coming actors from the Warner Brothers stable (including Connie Stevens and Robert Conrad) swoop down to the desert city of Palm Springs for spring break fun and games.

7/29- Rock Movies

9:30 pm- Rock Around the Clock (1956): The first rock and roll film, starring Bill Haley & his Comets, Alan Freed, and The Platters

1 am- Jailhouse Rock (1957): Elvis lets the beast out of himself in arguably his best movie

4:15 am- Don't Knock the Twist (1962): Chubby Checker is joined in this follow-up to the previous year's Twist Around the Clock by Gene Chandler and The Dovells among others.
