In keeping with the subject of my blog, here are 7 random pop culture-related facts about me:

1. The first CD I ever purchased was The Ultimate Box Tops. It's still in my collection

2. Although I still watch M*A*S*H occasionally, I was a huge fan when I was growing up. Around the time that it went off the air (1983), a company produced the 4077th M*A*S*H Beer. Since I wasn't legal, I had an older relative buy a six-pack for me. I still have an unopened can in my collection.

3. I once did an entertaining karaoke version of "Kung Fu Fighting" by Carl Douglas, complete with karate chops and kicks.

4. During my freshman year in college, I took a class on Pop Culture. Two reports I remember writing for the class were one on "Easy Rider" (I got an A) and another on Elvis Presley (I only got a C+ on that one).

5. Before my voice changed, I used to be able to imitate both Maxwell Smart and Agent 99.

6. When we were kids, our mother bought my sister and I blue denim hats just like the one J.J. wore on "Good Times". Inscribed across the turned up part of the hat in front was the word "Dy-no-mite!".

7. I recently met author Chris Gardner (whose book "The Pursuit of Happyness" inspired the movie starring Will Smith). Mr. Gardner came to my place of employment for a discussion/Q&A session/book signing.

You have a unopened can of M*A*S*H beer? That is so cool!

Was it any good?

So, we have two things in common. We do our memes pop culture style and we could both do cool impressions before our voices "changed." I used to do a kick-ass Ethel Merman when I was younger.

These are awesome random facts Malcolm! I loved them and I am so impressed that from a young age you have a continuity of archiving "pop culture" what with your still owned can of MASH beer...I had no idea there was such a product...how cool...I wish they would re-issue it!

LOL @ the J.J caps. Currently, one of my son's favorite shows is Good Times. Lord help him (smile). Everytime he walks into a room, bopping like J.J. and talking about "Shello!" it takes everything in me not to smack him (LOL).

Jay: Yes, out of that six-pack there is one sole survivor. As for the beer, it tasted OK... nothing special.

Beckeye: Wow, you used to imitate Gopher's mom... how cool! I can hear you tearing through "Everything's Coming Up Roses" or "There's No Business Like Show Business".

Candy: I am a pack rat from way back so I still have other things like that from my youth. There are other items that I kick myself for not keeping (The Six Million Dollar Man action figure and The Fonzie pinball machine come to mind). I was a kid, so what the hell did I know?

That would be cool if 20th Century Fox or somebody reissued the M*A*S*H beer as a tie-in for one of the show's anniversaries.

Lori: Ah, J.J.'s foolishness lives on to be imitated by the younger generation, lol.

Since I know your radio voice, I'm trying to picture you sounding like Barbara Feldon.
