OMG, where is the option for ALL OF THESE?????
love them all...but alas, I had to make a decision...

I made a decsion formeit was an easy one...I love the Grinch!!!
but I second the one with animation of the reindeer...I always like that one too...but Grinch I own on dvd both the original and the Jim Carreyversion:
"Bitchin powder!"
I've got a bit of a quiz over at my blog about do parents matter...you and your visitors might enjoy?
I've seen them all and I love the Grinch, but the one I honestly still sit down and watch with my kid is "Charlie Brown."
The new favorite in our house is Polar Express. We're also big fans of Chevy's Christmas Vacation. Squirrrel!!! That scene cracks me up every time (LOL).
The hubby enjoys "It's A Wonderful Life." We let him watch and enjoy that all by himself every year(LOL).
This was a tough one, but that Island of forgotten toys gets to me every time.
Are you going to do a Santa movie poll?
I am really fond of all of these Christmas specials. I chose the Grinch, though I am also very partial to "A Charlie Brown Christmas". Another one that use to broadcast when I was a child was "The Little Drummer Boy". I really enjoyed watching that one also.
Grinch all the way!!!!
I cried like a real lame when Frosty melted, and really have never gotten over it.
And I DARE someone to tell me that Charlie Brown's Xmas is not the shiznit!
Susan: Decisions, decisions, decisions, lol.
Holly: Although I haven't seen them in years, each brings back fond memories.
Candy: The thing that I love most about the Grinch is the song "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch". Because of my voice, that is a song that I can pull off to a certain extent. Not like when I try to sing along to artists like Air Supply and Earth, Wind, and Fire.
I'll be checking out your quiz later today. Thanks for the invite.
Lori: I don't know if you heard, but the Polar Express was inspired by an actual locomotive in Owosso, MI. Apparently the author of the book (Chris Van Allsburg) is from Grand Rapids, MI and took a lot of train rides as a kid with his fater.
Jenny McB: It's nice to see you stop by... it's been awhile. Although I have no plans to do a Santa movie poll, you never know. After all, it is a man's prerogative to change his mind. :-)
Pjazzy: I came this close to including "The Little Drummer Boy" in this poll, but decided that 5 was enough. That's another special that I haven't seen in a long time.
Mistress of the D: Boris Karloff rules!
Thembi: As a kid, I think my eyes might have accumulated a bit of salty discharge as well when Frosty melted. If I could witness the beat down that you are liable to inflict on them, I would love for someone to disparage "A Charlie Brown Christmas" to your face.
I would have to say charlie brown would be on the top of my list, classic :)
I can't believe "Santa Claus is Comin' To Town" is doing so poorly. It's fantabulous.
Emmy: Charlie Brown is turning into a powerhouse in the polls. It was trailing early, but now has a commanding lead.
Beckeye: I loved "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" when I was growing up, but haven't seen it in years. For nostalgic purposes, I sat down to watch it on Wed. night. I don't know if it was due to a lack of a festive mood on my part, but I couldn't get into it. I ended up switching over to the Pistons/Hornets game.
Wendy: I hadn't thought of "Rocko's Modern Life" in years. Although I remember when it was on during the era of "Doug", "Rugrats", and "Ren and Stimpy", I never watched "Rocko". After reading more about it on Wikipedia, I am sorry that I didn't watch it.
By the way, thanks for commenting on my "comment policy". I don't expect people to write a thesis in the comments section of my posts. However, when I see the "Interesting list. Happy TT" comments or something similar, I read them as "I didn't really read your post, but I still want to leave my link on your blog so that I can pick up more readers". Some people might think I'm being a jerk for this policy, but that's not my intention.
Thanks for visiting and have a splendid weekend!
I don't think I've seen any of those in their entirety... (is that a word?).... But that didn't stop me from voting! ;-0
I, too, love them all but I voted for Frosty! "Haaaaaaapy Biiiiirrrthday!"
Alas, we are foregoing television (and doing pretty well), so I think if we see any of these they will have to be on DVD. :D
Thanks for the compliments on my blog layout. I have to thank the designer for making it, my husband for tweaking it, and Word Press for ease of use! Stop by again, if you so desire.. ;)
