Final Results of the Mariah vs. Hannah/Miley Poll

Sweet niblets! It was a landslide as over 80% of you felt that the new CD by teen sensation Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus would sell more in its first week of wide release than that of grizzled veteran Mariah Carey.

As many of you do, I have a feeling that the Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus train shows no signs of stopping and will result in her first week sells trumping those of Mariah. Having said that, a Mariah upset wouldn't be a total surprise to me. After all, her last CD (2005's The Emancipation of Mimi) was certified multi-platinum by the RIAA and her current single (Touch My Body) is doing quite well on the charts.

Here are the final results:

Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus- 85%
Mariah Carey- 14%

In case you are curious and want a glimpse of Montanamania, here is the video to "The Best of Both Worlds".

I don't really care for Mariah Carey's music all that much, but I watch her videos. She's sooooooo HOT! LOL

I just saw Mariah in a couple of Macy's ads, one with her scatting with Carlos Santana. The other one has her, Martha Stewart, and a bunch of nameless women following the Versace model Gabriel Aubry (Halle's baby daddy) around the store. It seems that Mariah has a new scent. She's diversifying, which might drum up even more interest in her music.

Interesting poll results...I wonder how it will play out?

I guess all the kids who listent o Cyrus is really a huge factor.

I'll keep watch now that you have brought this fun fact to my attention.

Jay: Because she has maintained her hotness during her lengthy time in the public eye, I am sometimes guilty of taking Mariah for granted. Shame on me.

Pjazzy: I didn't know about the Mariah scent. That's a smart move on her part.

Candy: I don't even have any young nieces or daughters to blame for introducing me to Hannah Montana. Just my pop culture freakishness and my habit of channel surfing.
