I Feel Like Spencer Tracy or Tom Hanks

Late last year, I was given the "A Roar For Powerful Words!" award by two of my blogging buddies (Jessica of Life Is RANTastic! and Candy Minx of The Gnostic World of Candy Minx).

This is what each lady said about me...

Jessica:

Malcolm writes mostly about pop culture topics in a way as to how they are relevant to today’s society. His commentary is not only insightful, but fun. Malcolm is also an expert at pop culture trivia and continuously posts with something entertaining.

Candy Minx:

Because he writes about tv shows and pop culture with a lot of love. I feel happy after I take one of his quizzes or read about Bootsy Collins and classic programs.

Thank you both and please accept my apologies for not posting about this sooner.

This award was created by Seamus of The Shameless Lions Writing Circle and here’s what is means:

"When I set up The Shameless Lions Writing Circle, one of things I had in mind was that we as a group could encourage and celebrate good, powerful writing on the Internet/blogosphere. This is why I've come up with a new project to try to do exactly that, while of course at the same time increase exposure for the 48 members and their individual blogs. A Roar For Powerful Words is the chance to scream from the mountains the good news about the powerful posts that are produced every day in the blogosphere, despite what some mainstream columnists and journalists claim. This is also a good chance to examine exactly what it is that makes writing good and powerful."

According to Seamus, this award is to be distributed "to those people who have blogs we love, can't live without, where we think the writing is good and powerful."

I in turn am going to pass this on to Barbara, the author of at least 3 blogs:

Gone But Not Forgotten

Layla's Classic Rock Faves

Writing From the Inside Out

Barbara writes about a variety of topics with equal amounts of passion and sensitivity. For me, writing one blog can be hard. But Barbara is like those plate spinners that Ed Sullivan used to schedule among the latest rock/R&B acts during his Sunday night showcase. For all I know, she might even still have a 4th blog going.

Keep up the excellent work Barbara! You can pick out the size and color of the award that you want to post on your blog by clicking here.

BTW, it's better to feel like Tom Hanks, being that Spencer Tracy is dead and all. Just saying.

The Rock Chick: Thanks again for the award and the kudos!

Barbara: You left off one "!", lol. Seriously, you are quite welcome.

Pjazzy: Thanks!

Stagg (aka Candy): Meeting in person sounds like a plan. If you and your boyfriend are ever going to be down my way, we can try to get together for a drink or something.

X. Dell: Thanks for the props!

Wait a second, are you trying to tell me that Spencer Tracy is dead?! When did this happen? I read "Entertainment Weekly" religiously and they never mentioned it!
