Happy 60th Birthday Sigourney Weaver

Yes, believe it or not, Ellen Ripley has reached the 6-0 milestone.  That rare mix of talent, smarts, sex appeal and badassosity*, it's those qualities that are why Sigourney has been able to stay in demand during her 30-plus year acting career. Last year, Sigourney mentioned that she may be starring in an Alien spinoff film that would focus on Ellen Ripley instead of the Aliens.  Don't laugh.  If a nearly 70 yr old Harrison Ford can dust off his fedora and break out his whip (get your mind out of the gutter please), I don't see a problem with Sigourney springing back into action as Ripley.

* Badassosity is a word.  Although it's not in Merriam-Webster, it can be found in the Urban Dictionary.

HB wow, I love those pictures of her and I love Sigourney. She is going to be in a James Cameron movie next year called Avatar...it sounds amazing. I can see her doing ripley again no problem. I loved her in Ghostbusters and Year of living Dangerously also.

Eaton: Thanks for stopping by. Another Ripley movie would show that Sigourney still has the goods to pull off an action role.

Candy: I saw something about Avatar on imdb.com. One of my favorite Sigourney roles was a recent Lifetime TV movie she did called "Prayers for Bobby":

Ronda: Thanks for visiting. Sigourney has said that she is against having plastic surgery performed on her. I think she looks all the better as a result.

Mistress of the D: I think other stars should take a page from Sigourney's playbook and stay out from under the plastic surgeon's knife.
