Happy Birthday David Byrne

On Thursday May 14th, multi-hyphenate David Byrne turns 57 years old. In addition to being the founding member and main songwriter of Talking Heads, Byrne is a visual artist, a sometime actor, and an author. Plus, he rocks an oversized suit like no one else!

Because I'm a listomaniac, here are my top 5 Talking Heads tunes:

1. Nothing But Flowers
2. Life During Wartime (This Ain't No Party... This Ain't No Disco... This Ain't No Foolin' Around)
3. Once In A Lifetime
4. Girlfriend Is Better
5. Psycho Killer

What are your favorite songs by Talking Heads/David Byrne?

Mistress of the D and Jessica: It was weird. That day at work, I was listening to the 80s station through LAUNCHcast/Yahoo Music. I stepped away from my cube briefly and when I returned and put my headphones on, "And She Was" started. It was perfect! It was good to hear it again after such a long time.

The Chick Who Rocks the House, But Doesn't Burn It Down: One of my favorite cassettes that I had was the soundtrack to their concert film "Stop Making Sense". That was my introduction to "Psycho Killer".

PPR Scribe: I had forgotten how awesome "Slippery People" is! That was one of my fave songs on the "Stop Making Sense" soundtrack. I need to get that on CD.
