My disappointment over Hugh Jackman not returning has just subsided... it's been announced that Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin will be co-hosting the 82nd annual Academy Awards ceremony! Although Alec is a first-timer, this will be Steve's 3rd time presiding over the awards show (he hosted it previously in 2001 and 2003). Even if the nominees list turns out to be a snoozer, I'm confident that the Steve/Alec combo will make for a memorable evening. I'm already counting down to March 7, 2010!
How do you feel about Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin co-hosting the Oscars in 2010?
Three days and counting.

Yeah, I'm not thrilled. I like Steve Martin but was seriously underwhelmed with his previous hosting gigs. And Alec may be funny but I just can't get past the fact that he's an enormous f'ing douchebag. I am very much looking forward to the Ricky Gervais hosted Globes though.
If the skit on SNL where they were trying to assassinate each other to be the most prolific host in SNL history is any indication....I'm thrilled.
Even though I love Steve Martin, I am disappointed Hugh Jackman won't be presenting again. He did a phenomenal job last time!
I think it is going to be awesome!!!! We already no Steve Martin is a great host and I have high expectations for Alec Baldwin. After watching him on 30 Rock, I think he is hilarious. And the two of them together? Great match in my opinion!!
Jenna: I didn't know Ricky was doing the Globes... that's fantastic news! I'm interested to see if he has a drink in his hand through most of the show like he did when he presented an award last year.
Emily: I missed that skit, I'll have to do a search on Hulu... before they start charging a subscription fee.
Angie: I agree with you about Hugh. Hopefully, he will take on hosting duties again at some point in the future.
Sarah: I'm confident that Steve and Alec can live up to the hype. I wonder how much of what they do will be scripted vs. ad-libbed.
