Charlie's Angels all the way!
Awwww....you know i love Tatoo and Ricardo!
Mine is "The Mod Squad", but I know why you didn't include it. Of the ones listed I have to go with "Charlie's Angels". It's funny that you have chosen to showcase this particular poll because it has certain aspects of of my "Thursday Thirteen" for this week. You'll see what I mean come Thursday (actually Wednesday evening).
Hmm, I hated all of those shows (LOL). Guess now I know why . . . particularly, based on what they had in common.
Glad Pjazzy mentioned "Mod Squad." I would have voted for that one too.
Oooh oh oh, I picked 90210 - I know I'm showing my age with that one, but oh well. I loved that show!
Happy Super Tuesday!! :-)
Oh...I would have been tempted with MOD SQUAD too..but seeing as I watched every episode of Bev Hills 90210 I was well suited to answer with that choice...loved Melrose Place too...but longer time with BH9.
To all who voted so far: This evening I deleted the poll and posted it again to include 3 other Aaron Spelling shows. As a result, you will need to record your vote again. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
Thank you,
Malcolm
Ahh, much better (LOL). I guess I don't hate Aaron's work after all. I thought I'd go for "The Mod Squad" but since you threw "Family" in there . . .
Dang I love "Family" and I like "7th Heaven", but I will still stick my "Mod Squad". I kind of figured you did not include the older shows because people wouldn't remember them as readily. Spelling is more noted for those slick shows with Hollywood as a prominent backdrop. I had no clue he was responsible for "Family" or "7th Heaven". I guess I never stuck around for the credits.
This was hard to pick because I really loved a lot of those shows! I have to go with The Love Boat, though, I think.....just brings back so many good childhood memories for me!
Jessica
Hey, I'm glad I came back in here - but I'm also glad you decided to add 7th Heaven, that really was a great show. But of course I stuck to my original 90210!!! :D
Jay: If you don't already have it, there is a really good companion book to the series called "The Charlie's Angels Casebook". It has all sorts of interesting trivia, behind the scenes info, an episode guide, etc.
Gurl With Glasses: I think that most kids enjoyed Tattoo... I did. My mother couldn't stand him though.
Pjazzy: I see what you mean by my poll being connected to your TT this week. I orig. didn't include "The Mod Squad" and "Family" for the reasons you cited. Another reason was that I first thought that 6 choices was more than enough. I then thought that there might be people who read this blog who do remember those shows so why not include them. I also remembered that my "Thriller" poll from last year included all 9 songs from the album.
I am pleased to see that voters showed some love for both "The Mod Squad" and "Family"... as well as for the 3rd addition to the poll (7th Heaven).
Lori: There wasn't much middle ground when it came to the shows for which Aaron Spelling is best known. If you or somebody else hadn't voted for "Family", I would have because I couldn't stand to see it get shut out. If I have time this weekend, I may even pull out my DVD set and watch a few eps. of it.
Frigga: I was right there with you and millions of others watching 90210 back in the day... Wednesday nights at 8 on FOX. I still occas. watch it on SoapNet on the weekend.
Candy: I watched 90210 for all but the last couple of years. I can't remember why I stopped. When I was watching a rerun last weekend, I was thinking that it would be cool if they did a reunion movie.
Jessica: Even though I haven't seen it in awhile, many of the "Love Boat" stories are etched in my mind. Do you remember the one starring Sonny Bono as an Alice Cooper/KISS-like rock star named Deacon Dark? He fell in love with a deaf passenger and transformed himself into a sensitive singer/songwriter.
Frigga: I used to occas. watch "7th Heaven" in the early days when it was on the WB. Several years later I caught an episode and was shocked to see that little Ruthie was nearly grown. I knew she wasn't going to stay a little kid forever, but I was still caught off guard by the passage of time.
Dynasty only got 3%??? Boo hiss!!!
Oh I like the idea of a reunion movie for Bev9...brilliant!
A Beverly Hills Chunukah...Christmas, Thankgiving...
Stagg just voted for Love Boat...I'll go back and recast my vote...
p.s. are you excited about the Grammy's tonight? I can't wait tos ee Beyonce and Tina Turner!
