As you may know, my radio show Spin City is on hiatus for the next few weeks. During that time, I will dig through the archives and post playlists from the pre-blog era. The following playlist is from a show I did Sunday, 11/19/06. Since the day before was the big Michigan-Ohio State football game, I didn't do my show in my regular timeslot. Just to mix things up, I decided to play music from the 1990s to the present. Let me know if some of your favorites made this playlist.

There are so many songs on that list that I love! I'm a huge Prince fan (own every album) and I loved Cream.
4NonBlondes! How much do I love Linda Perry! And Heather Hadley too! Met her once when I was in NY...lovely woman! I don't care who thinks Mick Hucknall is annoying, I love Simply Red!
Now Lady Sovereign..a whole other story. I've tried but I just can't enjoy her.
Great playlist Malcolm...I could go on and on over these songs!
Thanks Taj! That was one of my favorite shows. Although I love my regular format of 70s and 80s music, it's good for me to break up the routine once in awhile. Btw, I am glad to hear about your cool experience meeting Heather Headley.
Although I couldn't find it online last night, today I came across the video (the extended version) for "Cream". Great song, great video!
A regular listener to my show requested "What's Up?"... a song that I never get tired of hearing.
"Your Mirror" by Simply Red is a song that I loved the instant I heard it. Another Simply Red favorite of mine is their version of Dylan's "Positively 4th Street".
As for Lady Sovereign... at least you gave her a try before deciding that she wasn't making it for you.
