From the Spin City Archives

Since I won't be hosting Spin City for the next several weeks, I thought I would dig through the archives and post a playlist from the "pre-blog" era. This is from a show I did last November. Because I was competing in an Oldies Trivia contest on Saturday 11/11/06, the following playlist is from a show I did the next day. I used this opportunity as a chance to get out of the 70s and 80s bag and go back even further with a show featuring songs from the 50s and 60s. How many of these tunes do you remember?

I think I know 17 of those songs - there maybe more that I don't recognize by title. Not bad, considering I wasn't born in the 50s or 60s! (I was born in 1970.)

Given that most of these songs are rarely played on the radio, 17 out of 60 isn't a bad average Book Mama. Like you said, if you heard some of these, you might say to yourself "I know that song!"
