While on my Internet surfboard late Saturday night/early Sunday morning, I saw a link that said "A Very Brady Hangover". The link led me to a story that the Fox News Channel did about Susan Olsen's recent appearance on Denver radio station KDZA-FM 107.9. Apparently, the former Cindy Brady got her drink on with local comedian Chris "Crazy Legs" Fonseca the night before and had a little bit of trouble pulling her packages together for the interview. At about the 1 minute and 40 second mark, she starts to struggle and shortly thereafter cuts the interview short. Sitting in front of Susan was what appeared to be a bottle of pop. If it was just pop in the bottle, that was a big mistake. One thing I remember from my early 20s is to neeeever drink pop the morning after a night of elbow bending. What Susan needed to do is find Tiger (aka the Kitty Karry-All thief) because you know what's been said to be a cure for hangovers.
Note: At the 2:27 mark of the clip below, Susan invited listeners to come out to a local bar to see her and Fonseca. Her 12 yr old son Michael then interjects that people can "Watch her drink like a pig!" Before anyone gets ready to turn the kid over to the idiomatic police, cut him some slack; he was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome a few years ago.

As Eddie would say "DANG!". Now the world knows shes a drunk. Kind of like Erin Moran on the latest Celebrity Fit Club. Not a good look Susan.
Very sad that she has a drinking problem but even sadder that she doesn't seem to see it (if she did would she be pointing it out publicity or seeking help)? I know they say a lot of child actors end up like this - but so do a lot of people who were never in acting.
This is kinda embarassing...but I am huge Brady fan. I read Barry Williams books "Growing Up Brady" yeaars ago and I remember the opening of the book is about a reunion and being on the plane and her having her Jack Daniels.
I think she was pleasantly unself conscious but I felt for her being so messed up.
Her kid was a riot that was funny!
On topic...some excellent tv on this subject was VH1's Dr. Drew Pinsky on Celebrity Addiction last week. I watched his "Celelbrity Rehab" and it was eye opening.
Last week he had a special focused on celebrities and their penchant for addiction.
He said take a senstive, unconventioanl extrovert...in the limelight...and it's recipe for substance abuse.
Obviously there's an alcohol problem there. I feel badly for her kid.
Pjazzy: I missed Erin Moran on CFC. Shortcake, what are you doing? I did catch snippets of her on Scott Baio's reality show.
As AJ would say, Susan wasn't looking too sharp in that clip. You could practically hear her stomach churning.
Barbara: Good point about substance abuse issues not being exclusive to child stars. I remember that Danny Bonaduce said something along the lines of "If he had been a regular kid, he still would have been a substance abusing fuck up".
Candy: Although I didn't read Barry's book, I did see the two "Behind the Scenes" TV movies about The Brady Bunch. I saw part of Dr. Drew's show while channel surfing. I believe that Jeff Conaway (Kenickie from "Grease") was on it. I never thought about it, but Dr. Drew's recipe is on the money.
The Rock Chick: It's too bad, but her son probably has alot of practice taking care of her after she hits the bottle. Maybe this public display might do for her what it did for Joe Namath a few years ago. After his drunken interview on Monday Night Football, he decided to clean up his act and join A.A.
the title of this post made me grin : )

Holly: I wish I could take credit for coming up with the subject line, but I stole it from someone who commented on the clip of this that was posted on You Tube. :-)
