Mama Pajama has bestowed upon me two blogging awards. The 1st is the Community Blogger Award. This award celebrates people who reach out and make the blogger community a better one. I don't know about you, but the last sentence makes me want to sing the Brady Bunch song "We Can Make the World A Whole Lot Brighter".
The second one is the Candied Apple Award. It's ironic because I was at the dentist's office tonight to get fitted for my permanent bridge. As I type this, I have another 45 minutes before I can eat anything. I'm dying, I'm dying!!Mama PJ is truly one of the most generous bloggers around. We originally "met" when she took part in her first Thursday Thirteen back in early August. On more than one occasion, I have told her that our pop culture radars are eerily in sync. For example, Mama PJ's first TT topic was about her 13 all-time favorite TV shows. Ironically, my TT that week was TV-related as well. On her recent TT she listed some of her musical guilty pleasures. One of the songs she selected was a tune that I had already planned to feature as the Guilty Pleasure of the Week on my show last Saturday... scary, huh?
Mama PJ has recently installed a poll widget onto her blog. Her first poll asks you to vote for your favorite HBO original series. Swing by and make your voice heard.

BTW, the previous post: I didn't learn about Shirley's passing until 2007, when I read about it here five minutes ago. I did know, however, that Stevie Nicks was a shrimp.

Those are caramel apples, not candied, and believe me there is a difference (I'm not too fond of the candied variety). All corrections aside CONGRATS!!!
Wow, thanks Malcolm! When I checked my blog this morning I was like, pjazzpar...and x. dell....those names sound familiar! Thanks for the shout out - and for sending folks my way. Yeah, I stole your idea for a poll. I didn't think I could do it with Typepad, but then I saw Skittles used Vizio...and that works with Typepad! Too bad I haven't thought of any burning questions! LOL

Stevie Nicks' height shouldn't have been a big surprise to me because I have seen some of those high heeled boots that she wears. The jumbo shrimp comment made me laugh. It also made my mouth water because I LOVE jumbo shrimp... but I digress. I think Stevie might have gotten her weight under control, although I haven't seen a recent pic of her to confirm.
Pjazzy: Good catch on the caramel apples pic. Although I looked at the pic, I didn't observe it. I can feel my teeth falling out just looking at those caramel apples.
Holly: You are quite welcome. I had been considering doing a poll ever since I saw that Taj had one on hers. When Blogger added the poll as a new feature a couple of months ago, that sealed the deal for me. I sometimes struggle coming up with poll questions. The HBO TV series poll question you came up with is excellent by the way.
Those candy apples are making me hungry.
