The Cingular/AT&T commercials are some of the funniest on TV. The other day I saw one that caught me off guard... in a good way. It stars New York Yankees pitcher and future hall of famer Roger Clemens. If you follow sports, you probably know that the on-and-off "retirements" of Roger Clemens have become a running joke. The commercial below shows that Roger Clemens can laugh at himself.

We saw that commercial this morning. But, being Houston Astros fans, we're still bitter about the way he went back to the Yankees. My husband threw his napkin at the TV....but I do think he has a good sense of humor to be able to poke fun at himself. The "disAstros" lost Clemens, their coach....it hasn't been a pretty year. Thank God for football season starting.
Holly: I can see why you and your husband would be upset at Roger. Many think that this will be his last season. I hope so because I am tired of the "will Roger return... won't he" soap opera that has surrounded the beginning of the last few baseball seasons.
As for the Houston Texans, I think that their pickup of QB Matt Schaub will turn out to be a pretty good move. I'm not sure how their offensive line is now, but I don't think it could be any worse than it was during the David Carr era. That poor guy spent more time on his back than a hooker during Mardi Gras.
